Mothercentered is holistic maternal mental health training informed by Internal Family Systems. Mothercentered acknowledges the impact of patriarchy on matrescent women, and teaches practitioners a new way of working with Mom Parts that is respectful, validating and empowering.
In a baby-centric world, mothers' profound needs often go unrecognized - both by society and within their own transforming bodies and psyches. Mothercentered challenges this paradigm by creating new concepts and language to help mothers identify and build relationships with their parts.
By equipping practitioners to hold space for the full maternal experience (all Mom Parts welcome), we move beyond labeling natural responses as "disorders." Instead, we create communities where mothers' experiences are validated and their transformation is honored.

Self-ish
Unlearning selflessness
6-Session Experiential for
Women Practitioners
This is about you.
Menarche, matrescence and (peri)menopause undo and reshape our experience of health, power, and of purpose.
As our physiology changes, our brains and bodies have to adapt and catch up.
This is hard work and it requires rest and tending.
Our culture isn’t designed to support women’s needs.
That means we have to discover and carve out our own unique paths to wellness.
We need to spend time with ourselves.

You got good at selflessness.
It's time to get self-ish.
What is it that you're needing?

Maybe you have some grief that hasn’t had a safe place to land? Or shame you’ve been quietly pushing back for years? What about those parts of you that have been working 24/7 to take care of everyone else and have never quite had the time or space to be cared for themselves?
What about your Wanting? Your Sadness? The Anxious parts that have never received the kind of unhurried, witnessed attention they truly need? Yes. Those ones.
This group is not about improving you.
It’s more of a cozy circle of friends, making time and space to explore and connect more deeply with parts that have been waiting for attention.
Self-ish is the new healthy
You know as well as I do that tending to your parts is the most direct route to feeling better. Spending time basking in your own curiosity, compassion, clarity, and courage is what fills your tank and makes it possible to show up with presence in all the caregiving roles in your life. And yet somehow, you are so often last on your list.
Taking exquisite care of yourself is not indulgent — it’s the starting point for everything else.
It's time to get Self-ish.

We are in this together
The parts we carry as women shift across the seasons of our lives. Motherhood reshapes us. Perimenopause requires us to reconsider how we've been chronically pushing ourselves. Self-ish is a space to meet whatever season you're in — with curiosity, with company, and without rushing.
Self-ish is an experiential educational space designed to expand your knowledge of women's mental health, from the inside out. Each session we go deep into one part, truth or remedy. Not just as clinicians studying a framework, but as people living our own complex lives.
Over the past year or two I’ve been exploring and learning about the psychedelic space, both as a therapist and as a client. What I’ve discovered is that the container we bring to psychedelic work is extraordinarily powerful — even when we’re not using medicine. The prep, journey, and integration arc creates conditions for accessing incredible inner resources and opening space for the parts of us we habitually push aside.
I’ve also noticed that when women gather together with the intention of healing, we cultivate a delightful kind of connection, authenticity, and supportive reciprocity. Self-ish draws on all of this — bringing together new ideas about set and setting, parts work, and connection in community. Each session we drop in together. Eyes closed, music playing. Guided inward, we prepare and then experience our own inward journeys. We come back together to integrate and share.

Each session includes:
Deep exploration and discovery around a part, a truth, or a remedy
An experiential arc: preparation, inner journey, and integration — including didactic learning, meditation and time journeying inside, accompanied by musical soundscape to support you
Peer consultation and sharing — we learn from each other’s internal discoveries and expand our capacities to be with clients’ parts and states
Warmth, realness, and a community of informed peers who speak your language
Self-ish is an experiential educational experience. It is not psychotherapy and no therapeutic relationship is established. Participation does not substitute for individual therapy or clinical supervision.
