Mom Parts Sessions

Mom Parts Sessions are 50 minute individual sessions that lean into the five steps of the Mom Parts Method. Together we will map out your inner system and give you more clarity about how to care for yourself on the road ahead. You can use a single session like a tarot card reading where you get a glimpse of your internal structure from an interesting new perspective. Or you can use these sessions to plunge into the depths of your protectors and your vulnerability and do the powerful work of unburdening and healing your Mom Parts.

Mom Parts Sessions are appropriate for people anywhere on the motherhood journey - including those who are fertility challenged, trying to conceive, going through pregnancy, postpartum, raising littles, launching kids, empty nesters, bereaved moms, stepmoms, foster moms and grandmothers.

 

The path to and through motherhood is no joke. When you understand yourself, you can help yourself better. Mom Parts Sessions support you in mapping out your inner world of parts and bringing care and compassion into the mix.​

How Does It Work?

Mom Parts Sessions are one-on-one meetings in which Jessica will guide you through the five steps of the Mom Parts Method, supporting you in:

​

  • Identifying and naming your Mom Parts

  • Learning about your parts' hopes and fears and the role they play in your life

  • Discovering the Truth that your protectors need you to hear

  • Opening your heart to the Grief or Shame that needs more attention

  • Uncovering and tapping into the Remedies of Self-energy that exist within you

Why do moms need to work with our Mom Parts?

Wherever you are on the journey into or through motherhood, you're coming face-to-face with your own difficult feelings. It's hard to manage your own big feelings while still tending to the intense demands of the moment. You're often operating in a blur of emotion and busy-ness, going, going, going, and feeling sad or mad in ways that ooze out or completely take over. You feel bad about feeling bad and so, you keep it to yourself. Swallow it down. Muscle through. Grin and bear it. Hold your shit together.

Being a mom is super important to you, and you work hard at it, but…you don’t always feel very happy.

Mom Parts Sessions give moms a way of better understanding themselves. When you name and identify the parts of you that feel distress, you become empowered to help yourself feel better in direct and immediate ways. While there is a shit ton that is outside of your control in momlife, there are some key areas where you do have the power to make a dramatic impact on your own wellbeing.

Important Information about Mom Parts Sessions

When participating in a Mom Parts salon or session, it’s important to understand that the service being provided is psychoeducational, not psychotherapy. This means that the focus of our work together is to explore and teach you a concept that can help you understand and work with various aspects of your identity as a mother. However, we are not entering into a therapeutic relationship.

Since Mom Parts is an educational experience, it is not psychotherapy and does not involve personalized therapeutic intervention. Please note that there is no therapeutic privilege in this context, and any information you share may not be confidential in the same way as it would be in a therapy session. While I will do my best to maintain confidentiality, what you share could potentially be subject to legal discovery in some situations. If you feel you require psychotherapy or mental health support, I strongly recommend reaching out to a licensed healthcare provider who can offer you the appropriate care.
